In East Kent, the four District Councils of Dover, Shepway, Swale and Thanet have teamed up with Kent County Council to form No Use Empty; the Kent Empty Property Initiative.

Kent County Council has extended the partnership to West Kent, where it has joined forces with the local councils of Sevenoaks, Tonbridge & Malling and Tunbridge Wells.

The final phase of the roll out of the initiative across the county to make No Use Empty a full Kent-wide campaign saw Ashford Borough Council, Maidstone Borough Council, Gravesham Borough Council, Dartford Borough Council and Canterbury City Council all join the partnership.

The overall partnership complements the existing work being carried out by each of the individual District Councils to combat the recurring problem of empty housing across local communities.
